Individual Therapy at Pachamama Therapy Collective | Sacramento, CA
Therapy is a place that you can utilize to deepen your understanding of self, acquire new ways of coping, unlearn unhealthy or toxic relationship dynamics, or just have a breathing space to exist and be as you are.
Holding the reality that we live in a society that seeks to dehumanize our existence, our approach to counseling encompasses inviting clients to lean towards the fullest, most authentic version of themselves - one that honors their strengths, worthiness, and aliveness.
OUR APPROACH TO INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Relational & affirming.
Trauma-informed & somatic-based.
Anti-oppressive & culturally humble.
Personalized & personable.
& most of all, humanizing.
Individual therapy (i.e., one-on-one therapy) involves working with a therapist to experience relief, release, and resolution of the experiences (or issues) that are bringing you to therapy.
The essence of the way that we approach individual counseling is rooted in using anti-oppressive, culturally-affirming, justice-oriented, and evidence-based therapy tools. We also honor that each human we meet arrives with their own intentions, needs, boundaries, relational style, and lived experiences - and therefore our approach will always be personalized and tailored to meet you exactly where you are.
In addition to supporting our community in transforming experiences of trauma, stress, anxiety, and relationship issues, we also support individuals with the following:
Managing overwhelming moments of panic and chronic stress.
Experiencing joy and motivation while working through sadness and depression.
Exploring your sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or relationship structure.
Navigating life transitions and endings (e.g., career, relationships, health).
Unlearning toxic relationship dynamics.
Establishing boundaries with your partner(s) and family members.
Moving away from harsh self-criticism and towards self-love.
Overcoming imposter syndrome , exhaustion, and burnout as an early career professional.
Unlearning internalized -isms, including internalized oppression, homophobia/biphobia, capitalism, and toxic masculinity.
At Pachamama Therapy Collective, we’re here to meet you wherever you are on your journey and support you every step of the way.
